Do you remember the resolutions you made at this time last year? I would guess that many of us resolved at the beginning of 2015 that every day we would have a “quiet time”. We told ourselves that this would be the year when we at last would establish a pattern of daily Bible-reading and prayer.

Do you know what is trendy at the moment? I couldn’t tell you what the autumn’s fashionable clothing colours have been but even I can’t help noticing that it’s been very fashionable in 2015 to have a beard.

    I did not know much about Jesus Christ and those ideas I had were taken from films. I did not know why He had to die and what this had to do with me. I thought He died like a martyr, like many other martyrs, because of his belief.
