Salvation for the worst of sinners

What is the central message of the Bible? Paul declared that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”.   And he knew it was true for he had been the worst.


What demons do (8:26-39)

Jesus was confronted by a man who had demons.  What had the demons done to that man’s personality and life?  What are demons doing to people in our society today?  It is not just a tiny number of people who “have demons”.  Every fallen human being follows the dictates of Satan, “the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience”.


The Bible is in the news!

2011 is the 400th anniversary of the publication of the Authorised Version.  The BBC has given over a Sunday on radio 4 to readings from the AV.  Hundreds of events are planned across the UK, and indeed the world,  to mark the anniversary.


Hosea – God’s heart revealed

A book with perhaps deeper insight into God’s own feelings and emotions than anywhere else in the whole Bible. A man sharing God’s own heartbreak and emotion through the circumstances of his own life. A glimpse of how the Lord Jesus thinks and feels.


With Christ in the vessel (8:22-25)

Caught in the storm, the disciples woke Jesus and begged for his help.  Jesus calmed the storm – and then rebuked them for their lack of faith.  What  had they done wrong?   What had they done right?  What lessons did they learn?
