Who is he? What do you think? (8:1-30)

How can the two-stage healing of a blind man change the disciples from being blind about the true nature of Jesus into those who confess that he is the Messiah, the Son of God? In the same way that the blind man saw what looked like trees but could not be trees since they were walking and trees don’t walk so the disciples are challenged to fit what they see of Jesus and know from his miracles so it all makes sense.
