Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that their brother was ill. Jesus arrived, to meet a grief-stricken Martha, only after the man had died and lain 4 days in the tomb. What did he mean by telling her that he is the resurrection and the life?

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd” (John 10:14)
Jesus told people he was the good shepherd; and they said he was mad and had a demon. A little later, they picked up stones to stone him. Why such a reaction?
