Jesus said that everyone who wants to follow him must deny himself and take up the cross daily.   So why do so many Christians expect to have comfortable, easy lives?

Goodness is a very general term.  We focus on one aspect of goodness – generosity.   We look at examples of generosity within a family, towards friends, among believers, towards strangers, and even towards enemies.  What motivates a Christian to be generous?   The generosity of God to us through Christ.

The Holy Spirit produces kindness in believers.  But how do we define kindness?  Perhaps it’s more easily recognised than defined.  So we look at some examples of kindness from the Bible, and at Jesus, the supremely kind man.

There have been many great empires,  kingdoms, leaders.  But only one man is destined to rule the world for ever – the Son of Man.  He alone could pay the price necessary to bring into being the kingdom of righteousness, truth and justice.
