Paul's opponents sneered at him because he preached the gospel free of charge. But the gospel itself is about the salvation which God freely gives. How could Paul charge people to hear it?

Paul made no show of worldly wisdom. But he had the knowledge that really matters.

The false apostles encouraged Christians to "receive the Spirit". But were they talking about the Holy Spirit?
