Jesus said, “I am the true vine…” (John 15:1)
Jesus claimed to be the true vine. What did he mean? Is there a false vine? And what did he mean when he says his disciples were the branches?

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6)
This claim of Jesus is very offensive to a pluralistic culture. But it was the truth a troubled believer needed to hear.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25)
Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that their brother was ill. Jesus arrived, to meet a grief-stricken Martha, only after the man had died and lain 4 days in the tomb. What did he mean by telling her that he is the resurrection and the life?

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd” (John 10:14)
Jesus told people he was the good shepherd; and they said he was mad and had a demon. A little later, they picked up stones to stone him. Why such a reaction?

Jesus said… “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12)
At the feast of Tabernacles, the Jews remembered their journey through the wilderness, guided by God as pillar of fire and cloud. At the feast of Tabernacles, in the Temple, Jesus said, "I am the light of the world".
