I’ve decided to devote this letter to a subject that you may feel you don’t want to read about. Abortion

Last week Anne and I had a moving experience.  We saw our baby clearly for the first time. Anne went to the hospital for an ultra-sound scan.  Afterwards we looked at the pictures together.  There it is: our child, a little human being, eyes, nose, ears, fingers, toes.  Anne told me that at one point she could see the whole spine – every individual bone.
