2 Corinthians (127)
God has only given his ambassadors one message to deliver: be reconciled to God!
Do churches exist for the benefit of homogeneous social units? No, God was reconciling the world to himself and churches must reflect the grand scope of his purpose.
Paul puts the needs of the Corinthians before his own. Why should he care so much about people with whom he has naturally so little in common? The love of Christ constrains him.
Those who wanted to undermine Paul could always find a reason to do so. On the one side, they called him insane, on the other a rationalist.
Paul declared that it was his aim to please Jesus Christ. How many of us could truly say the same?
