While he is in this world, the believer has a home but feels far from home. We're reluctant to leave but we long to go. How should we resolve that inner conflict?
Living in this world, the believer groans. What are we longing for? To leave behind what is tainted with death and to experience life in all its fulness.
Paul knew that living in this world means living in a tent: uncomfortable, fragile and temporary. But he longed for the day when he would live in a house - a palace!
Paul declared that his sufferings were light and momentary - compared with the eternal glory that lay ahead.
