It’s not good to talk! (3:9)

In this sermon we look at some of the discussions that Paul tells Titus to avoid. Some of them can have no definite conclusion. Some will be over topics that no longer matter. Some will only be the cause of strife since neither side will listen to the other.

One big reason for Paul’s prohibition is that there are more important things that should concern us. Does all our talking with those who disagree make us into more godly believers? Is the way we live more honouring to God or not? Are we doing all Paul says in chapter 2?

Many questions and discussions produce the wrong fruit but there are some questions that must not be avoided: Do we believe in Christ? Are we trusting him alone for salvation? Are we growing in grace?
